New at the institute: Jean-Philippe Dequen

Jean-Philippe Dequen, previously at SOAS, University of London, will be working on English legal transfers in colonial India. His research will mainly focus on the jurisprudential grounds upon which these legal transplants were justified in regards to early colonial South Asia, to then analyse more substantively their nature within the fields of contract and copyright laws within the post-1858 British Raj.
