In this seminar of the Global Legal History on the Ground project, we will have a presentation by Professor Liazzate Bonate, entitled "Família muçulmana no norte de Moçambique: Sharia, matrilineagem e legislação oficial em Paquitequete, Cidade de Pemba, Cabo Delgado". Bonate will discuss the legal system of islam, matrilineage and official legislation concerning the muslim family in Mozambique.
