Igreja Metodista Unida e conhecimento normativo no processo da Libertação de Moçambique (1968 à 1975)

A Luta de Libertação de Moçambique, contou com a participação de vários actores e instituições. Ao nível religioso, as Igrejas Católica e Protestantes tiveram um papel importanteatravés da formação e criação da consciencia nacionalista entre os moçambicanos, e mobilização de apoios para a Frelimo (Frente de Libertação de Moçambique). Entretanto, há pouca investigação sobre esta participação. O conhecimento normativo desenvolvido pelos diversos atores, ainda é pouco explorado nos estudos sobre história e direito em África. O presente projeto pretende preencher esta lacuna historiográfica, utilizando os conceitos de "produção normativa e saberes normativos" como ferramentas teóricas e metodológicas.

The Struggle for the Liberation of Mozambique involved various actors and institutions. At the religious level, the Catholic and Protestant churches played an important role in shaping and creating national consciousness among Mozambicans and mobilising support for Frelimo (Liberation Front of Mozambique). However, there is little research on the participation of these actors. The normative knowledge developed by these actors is still little explored in studies on history and law in Africa. This project aims to fill this historiographical gap, using the concepts of “normative production and knowledge of normativity” as theoretical and methodological tools.
