Conviviality and normative practices of everyday life

This presentation follows the line of the Mecila research project (Maria Sibylla Merian Centre Conviviality-Inequality in Latin America), which focuses on the concept of conviviality understood as a mode of sociability that renegotiates cultural and social differences in unequal societies. I discuss the implications of this approach for describing everyday normative practices, particularly in situations of cooperation and conflict.
