The project intended to digitize all legal journals of the German language area which started publication between 1703 and 1830, as listed in the bibliography of Joachim Kirchner (Kirchner, Joachim: Bibliographie der Zeitschriften des deutschen Sprachgebietes bis 1900. Bd. 1, 1969, S. 140-152 und S. 365 f.). The project digitized the journals as scanned images and makes the individual contributions accessible by the creation of metadata. With this project the journals of all German speaking territories and of all legal disciplines are converted into digital form and made available to the research community electronically, free of cost and permanently.
