Timeline of primary sources

Research Project

Each of the entries in the DCH dictionary is constructed from a corpus of primary sources consisting of 16 works, which were published and republished throughout the early modern period. These are works that were widely circulated and used throughout the different territories in Spanish America and the Philippines. The corpus of sources comprises different normative fields that can be traversed following various paths or accesses. From the doctrine of the authors, the different types of legislation (Councils, Royal and Pontifical legislation) to a series of additional reference works. Through this Timeline of sources you can access the editions we have used and some of the digital tools we already have.
