Gastvortrag: <i>Missing Pieces in the Legal History of the 19th- and 20th-century East Asia</i>

Tzung-Mou Wu is Associate Research Professor at the Institutum Iurisprudentiae, Academia Sinica (Institute of Legal Studies, Taiwanese Academy of Sciences). From 2007 to 2008, he was here at the MPIeR conducting research as part of the Marie-Curie Early Stage Training Program (FP6) 'European Legal Cultures'. His primary focus is on the 19th- and early 20th-century French and German law and jurisprudence, their migration to East Asia and their relevance for contemporary issues. He has recently published on institutional reforms for indigenous empowerment, the modernisation of rural land tenure and depopulation in East Asia, and Taiwan's judicial reform
