Spanish Abstract: El rescripto es un acto de una autoridad eclesial que goza de autoridad ejecutiva con destinatario concreto y singular, por medio del cual se otorga un privilegio, una dispensa u otra gracia a petición de interesado. En este artículo se abordan los sentidos histórico-jurídicos del concepto, el rescripto como una forma de donación y los tipos de rescriptos y quiénes podían pedirlos. Además se analiza la estructura, la forma y las cláusulas de los rescriptos, en especial los rescriptos obrepticios y subrepticios, y su interpretación. Por último se trata la cuestión del pase regio y ejecución de rescriptos; el mal uso de los rescriptos; la expiración de los rescriptos y los rescriptos de otras autoridades. La voz se cierra con unas consideraciones bibliográficas al respecto.

English Abstract: The rescript is an act of an ecclesiastical authority with executive power, and has a concrete and singular addressee who had requested a privilege, a dispensation or another grace. This article discusses the legal historical meanings of the concept, the rescript as a form of donation, the types of rescripts and the persons who could petition them. It also analyzes the structure, form and clauses of rescripts, especially with regard to the obreptitious and surreptitious ones, and their interpretation. Finally, the following topics are treated: the question of the royal approval and issuing of rescripts, the abuse of rescripts, their expiration as well as rescripts issued by other authorities. The paper closes with some pertinent bibliographical considerations.
